NJBankers Community Service Presentation Presented at the League's 100th Convention for the first time, we created a visual presentation highlighting some of the community service activities and organizations that members are proud to support. Whether promoting financial literacy or participating in toy and food drives, NJBankers members are committed to responding to the needs of the communities they serve. Member employees proudly volunteer hours to support community initiatives and member institutions make substantial monetary contributions to ensure success of these initiatives. Over 200 charitable and civic organizations were identified as receiving assistance from members.

New Jersey Bankers Education Foundation, Inc.
The New Jersey Bankers Education Foundation,
Inc. is a 501(c)(3)
organization that
was formed by the Board of Governors of the New Jersey League of Community
Bankers. The Board was inspired by the significant work and sacrifices of
United States military personnel throughout the world, particularly in the
Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts. The Board wanted to do something to help
dependents of service members that gave their lives or became permanently
disabled in these conflicts and,
accordingly, formed the Foundation to provide scholarships.

Habitat for Humanity In 1996, the New Jersey League Member Banks took on an industry-wide partnership with New Jersey Habitat for Humanity activities. This partnership has involved fundraising events, providing employees to serve as volunteers for various committees and to work at Habitat worksites throughout the state. Habitat seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by inviting people to work together to build housing for people in need. Houses are sold to these families in need at no profit and are financed with affordable, no-interest loans. Since this partnership was formed,
over $1,400,000 has been raised
for TICIC, Inc.
The industry has taken the lead in finding innovative solutions to promote and enhance
community development throughout New Jersey. Through the NJBankers wholly-owned
subsidiary TICIC, institutions from throughout the state
pool financial resources to fund affordable and senior housing projects.
